UN Tourism and Qatar Tourism are celebrating the Qatar Tourism Awards, honoring remarkable achievements that foster transformative growth in the tourism sector.

In a renewed partnership, UN Tourism and Qatar Tourism aim to spotlight excellence and innovation within the industry.

The 2024 Qatar Tourism Awards received nearly 1,200 entries from organizations and individuals dedicated to advancing tourism. With categories tailored to Qatar’s vibrant tourism sector, the awards recognize exceptional contributions. From 2019 to 2024, international visitors to Qatar increased by an impressive 147%, establishing Qatar as a leader in tourism innovation and investment.

The winners, chosen by a panel of esteemed judges, included industry experts. UN Tourism enhanced the selection process by assigning an international judge from its team. Basmah Al Mayman, UN Tourism’s Regional Director for the Middle East, highlighted the Qatar Tourism Awards’ rise as a respected brand, reflecting Qatar’s commitment to tourism progress. This recognition supports UN Tourism’s goal of promoting tourism as a driver of economic growth and inclusive development.

In his keynote address, H.E. Saad Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism, underlined the significant role played by UN Tourism in the success of the Awards.
