Flydubai announces a new daily service connecting Dubai to Bhairahawa, Nepal, starting November 10, 2024, offering travelers a gateway to adventure and culture.

Flydubai has announced the launch of a new daily flight service to Bhairahawa Airport, also known as Gautam Buddha International Airport (BWA), beginning on November 10, 2024.This service will depart daily from Terminal 2 at Dubai International (DXB), offering travelers a direct and efficient route into Nepal, particularly for those looking to explore the region.

New Route Strengthens Connectivity

The launch of this new route to Bhairahawa Airport aims to address the rising demand for travel between Dubai and Nepal. Return flights will connect through Kathmandu, making the journey even more convenient for passengers. Bhairahawa Airport, located in Siddharthanagar, is Nepal’s second international airport and serves as a critical gateway to Lumbini Province, the birthplace of Gautama Buddha. This route expansion underscores Flydubai’s dedication to broadening its network and improving connectivity via its key hub in Dubai.

Expanding Flydubai’s Global Network

Since the introduction of direct flights to Kathmandu in 2009, Flydubai has steadily increased its presence in Nepal. To date, the airline has flown over three million passengers, helping to bolster trade and tourism between Nepal and the UAE. Flydubai’s continuous expansion includes recent routes to Basel in Switzerland and cities across Pakistan and Iran. With a total of 126 destinations spanning 55 countries, the airline’s reach covers Africa, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Southeast Europe, the GCC, the Middle East, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.

Flight and Fare Information

Starting on November 10, 2024, daily flights will operate from Dubai International to Gautam Buddha International Airport. Emirates will codeshare on this route, giving passengers more travel options through Dubai. Business Class fares from Dubai to Bhairahawa will start at AED 3,600, while Economy Class Lite fares begin at AED 1,800. On the return journey, Business Class fares from Bhairahawa to Dubai will start at NPR 145,000, and Economy Class Lite fares will be priced from NPR 70,000.

Boosting Cargo Services with Digital Innovations

Flydubai Cargo has also recently entered into a partnership with cargo.one, enabling digital sales on this leading booking platform. This collaboration provides freight forwarders instant access to Flydubai Cargo’s capacity, including routes facilitated by interline partnerships with other airlines. The move is part of Flydubai Cargo’s strategy to enhance its market responsiveness and simplify operations. Since its inception in 2012, Flydubai Cargo has grown its operations to reach more than 150 destinations across 53 countries, actively supporting and facilitating international trade.

Expanding Digital Sales Channels

Flydubai utilizes a contemporary fleet of 88 Boeing 737 aircraft, providing reliable and efficient transportation for cargo operations.The airline maintains partnerships with ground-handling agents and other airlines through interline agreements. With high-frequency flights to key destinations like Beirut, Colombo, and Doha, Flydubai ensures swift cargo transfers, often within an hour of arriving in Dubai. By enhancing its digital presence through cargo.one, the airline aims to further its sales reach and improve sales performance.

Enhancing Passenger Comfort and Experience

Flydubai continues to prioritize passenger comfort, as evidenced by the introduction of a new business class check-in area at Terminal 2 of Dubai International. This area features premium services like meet-and-assist, seated check-in, and fast-track processing through security and passport control, elevating the travel experience for business class passengers. These enhancements reflect Flydubai’s commitment to offering top-tier customer service.

Plans for Future Growth and Fleet Expansion

Flydubai’s growth strategy includes the acquisition of seven new aircraft by the end of 2024, along with plans to recruit over 130 new pilots. These developments will support the airline’s continued expansion into new destinations, including Basel, Riga, Tallinn, and Vilnius, further extending its network and offering more travel options to customers.
