Emirates Restarts Edinburgh-Dubai Flights, Enhancing Scotland’s Global Connectivity

Emirates resumes direct flights from Edinburgh to Dubai, reconnecting Scotland’s capital with a global hub, boosting tourism and economic growth.

Emirates has made a significant comeback by reintroducing its direct Edinburgh-Dubai flights, reconnecting Scotland’s capital to one of the world’s busiest transit hubs after a pause since 2020. This daily, year-round service from Edinburgh Airport, part of the VINCI Airports network, promises to deepen ties between Scotland and Dubai, strengthening Scotland’s global connections.

To mark this special occasion, a festive welcoming ceremony took place, highlighted by a traditional performance from the iconic Edinburgh Military Tattoo as the first flight arrived and taxied to the gate.

Initially, Emirates will operate this route with a Boeing 777, with future plans to introduce their first A350, which will feature a state-of-the-art Premium Economy and a refreshed Business Class experience. This route’s revival not only expands Emirates’ vast global network spanning six continents but also supports Scotland’s economy and tourism sector, creating new avenues for business and trade growth.

“Direct connectivity to Dubai is something that will be welcomed by both business and leisure passengers, while the onward connections through the vast Emirates network also opens up a plethora of opportunities for travel.

“The return of Emirates has been one we have all been excited about and we are already looking forward to the introduction of the airline’s first A350, which offers passengers the chance to experience Emirates’ acclaimed Premium Economy product and its brand-new Business Class cabin.”
