Dubai Airports celebrated top airline and commercial partners at the 2024 Excellence Awards, honoring achievements in innovation, service, and sustainability.

Dubai Airports, the authority managing Dubai International Airport (DXB), hosted the highly anticipated Airport Excellence Awards 2024, celebrating the outstanding contributions of its airline and commercial partners. This year’s ceremony, held at the elegant Park Hyatt Dubai, marked a remarkable return after a four-year break, emphasizing DXB’s dedication to innovation and leadership in the global aviation sector.

The event featured over 15 award categories, recognizing partners excelling in customer service, operational excellence, sustainability, and visual appeal. These awards highlighted essential collaborators who contribute to making DXB an internationally acclaimed hub and a preferred choice for millions of travelers. By honoring its partners’ commitment and vision, Dubai Airports reinforced its mission to uphold DXB’s standing as the world’s busiest international airport and to enhance the oneDXB community experience.

Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, acknowledged the milestone achievements and accolades DXB has earned over the past year, expressing gratitude for the collective contributions that have fuelled its success: “The Airport Excellence Awards are our way of recognising the phenomenal commitment and vision our partners bring to DXB every day. From our airline alliances, which make us one of the world’s most connected airports, to the world-class commercial offerings that define DXB as a destination in itself, these awards celebrate the teamwork and spirit driving our shared success. With over 93 million guests expected this year, each milestone we mark is a testament to the extraordinary dedication of everyone behind these achievements.”

Among the awardees in the airline category, the Lufthansa Group was celebrated for Excellence in Customer Service, while Air India earned recognition for Excellence in Operations. IndiGo received the Excellence in Sustainability Initiatives award, Saudia won the Above & Beyond Excellence Award, flydubai was commended for Community Development Dedication, and Emirates was acknowledged with the Inclusive Travel Award.

In the commercial category, JCDecaux was recognized for Partnership Excellence, McDonald’s received the award for Excellence in Sustainability Practices, Uber was celebrated for Excellence in Guest Experience and Hospitality, Five Guys won for Excellence in Marketing Campaign Development, and Emirates Leisure Retail took home the Above & Beyond Excellence Award.

Returning after the pandemic hiatus, this year’s awards celebrated the resilience and innovation of DXB’s partners, emphasizing their role in establishing Dubai as a global leader in aviation.

Renowned radio personality and influencer Kris Fade hosted the event, bringing energy and excitement to the celebration. Guests were treated to lively entertainment, including music by DJ Ruben and an engaging performance by NotSoHuman, making it a night of joy and celebration.
